My mother is at the end of her life due to metastatic cancer. We as a family do our best to keep them at home and make sure one of us is there 24/7. That means a lot of sleeping in the living room chair and a lot of sleep deprivation. This little invention saved a life (literally). Now that we know that she can easily call for help, we don't feel the need to stay up all night listening for disturbing noises or trying to hear her weakened voice. It was easy to attach to her bedside table and all she had to do was move her finger to press the button. The ringer is loud and clear, but a pleasant "bing bong" sound that doesn't bother even after repeated use. It also doesn't wake anyone up from the start. I couldn't ask for anything more perfect for this job. It saved her life at least three times when she was suffering from respiratory failure that needed treatment. I think if I had a minus it would be that the instructions for attaching a lanyard and opening the battery compartment aren't great. There was no "small screwdriver" in the kit as stated in the booklet. For me the problem wasn't big enough to deduct a star.
