For enameling - works fairly well
I have these pencils to mark the enameled surface so I have guide lines that will burn out in the kiln. In general, this pencil burns out. BUT I've found that if you leave a very heavy mark on an etched, non-glossy surface, it won't fade, even after multiple firings (at 1450°F). When I made lighter marks, they all faded. So if you're buying this to enamel, pay attention to your markings.
