You can put this in a bag of different grit sandpaper and sharpen the knives in the field, it gives the blade an excellent sharpness! The skin beneath the sandpaper creates a slight camber on the blade that's great for outdoor use! Tandy Leather Works is a great company but as they say there are MUCH better slings out there not very happy because I don't buy them to use in the field I bought them as a sling for my main shop. Great for a sharpener, but if it's not the only sling you own, get a better one for the house!
