I strongly encourage everyone to do so. It was decided that all of the images that were taken on the soap box should be deleted. Has pros: Nikon. Price. The quality of the image. Construct with care. Functional. Purchased in November; really happy to the point of snottiness. Even with a whale lens, it takes good pictures. I used two different whales, one with an 18-55 VR and another with a 55-300 VR. The contrast is striking after the addition of the soap dish. Being a newbie, I am unable to accurately determine whether or not the apertures have been correctly set; but, the overall quality of the photographs satisfies me. When I took a few photographs, though, the lighting became much better and the composition was much clearer. Excellent camera that is simple to operate. The second whale 55-300 produces photographs with a unique and interesting bokeh effect. When I put it to the test on New Year's Eve, out of the 1400 shots that I took, just 12 turned out blurry! Images available on my page Other drawbacks include the fact that the Kit 18-55 lens does not perform well in macro photography even when used correctly. Doesn't let you get too near. But, I believe that in order to properly view things like leaves, dewdrops, and butterflies, a totally other lens is required.
