
I don't buy too many monitors, they fall out too easily, so they're not a major component in my builds. I was just looking for a decent monitor that could display 1080p @ 144Hz with ease and here it is. I'm more interested in overclocking the CPU and GPU for my PC games and educational software for various projects than reaching higher resolutions. A 1440p monitor will probably follow next. that would be my favorite place. No dead pixels yet (let's see if it stays that way). The picture is excellent and after adjusting the monitor and GPU settings I am very happy with the result. It's not a high-end monitor that I want to give up right now, but as long as the dead pixels don't show up I can see myself keeping this monitor for a long time and maybe even getting a second one. We will see. I have an HP 1080p monitor that cost me about the same and after using the monitor for about 3.5 months I suddenly had a 4 inch bar of dead pixels. I can't say how long that won't happen with ViewSonic. Monitors are just a guess.
