Review on Get the Ultimate Gaming Experience with ViewSonic XG2402 FreeSync 144Hz Monitor - Advanced Ergonomics and Adjustable Features! by Joseph Jones

Same as before in my review.

I bought this monitor with some concern that its color reproduction would not match my 2012 Viewsonic purchase standards on the previous monitor. It's always a little bit as good, if not better. The real waste of time for me was thinking that DP or any other cable they provided me would do me good because they didn't. My Geforce 1060 wouldn't fit either if I didn't get an adapter or other cable, but I really wanted to know if this thing would work, whether what I have on hand would work at 144hz settings or not . Everything I had on hand worked, it was my old HDMI cable from the monitor, bought in 2012. The cables have no indication of which version they are (unlike USB), but fortunately the old cable not only works, I assume it's v1.4 HDMI, 1.4 will support 144Hz so I had to use external cables to help. It's a shame to pay for extra cables that don't help you at all. And it's not like the 1060 card is that terribly old, especially since it was built around the same time as this monitor. I can only assume I just bought this monitor, they may have put the last few cables in for later builds, and in three years these cables have been physically changed on newer cards so they put more modern cables in. there (this monitor was built on 09/07/20). I can't give an overview of the massive increase in gameplay as I don't really like very fast games. The only game I'm currently playing (XCOM 2) and that may be because I changed the contrast a bit, but I definitely have a sharper picture. I've been going through a number of menus in normal gameplay and they're very crisp with no lag when using the settings from the previous monitor setup, which if I'm not mistaken was already on full graphics. My first opinion that I could improve on is that I miss having a parrot logo somewhere on the front and I hate wasting all that time on cables that don't even work since I first connected them to a monitor hooked it up and then searched the ground to get it behind my tower in between all the wires and trying to figure it all out. As far as I can remember I've never had any problems with the cables connected to the monitors, so I didn't think to check the end of the card with the connectors I had first. So she looks very much like a winner. Incidentally, my previous monitor lasted over eight years and if I hadn't been stupid enough to clean it wrong lately I wouldn't be doing this review. The Viewsonics are without a doubt the winners as this is at least the fourth I've bought in decades and I haven't looked back for a second.
