Keeps hands warm and dry most of the time, at least on the outside. If your hands sweat during use, they quickly become slightly damp on the inside. They are also quite difficult to dry. I tossed these guys in my dryer for two hours to try to dry the inside and it still hasn't completely dried. A bit bulky for what I use them for as a lifter at a ski resort where I put my gloves on and off over 50 times some days to switch between work and the weather. The best thing I could use these gloves for is long hikes in the snow when you think your hands need snow protection. I'd recommend them for extreme cold and storms, whether you're shoveling or hiking, but for everyday use I'd choose something more portable. And people with sweaty palms might want to stay away.
