I ordered this in white, which is white but not a blinding white. I ordered my usual size and it fits like I want it to, but if you want the front to overlap you might want to size up one size. I will wear it over a sleeveless dress and I want the dress to show in the center. It arrived very wrinkled, but I washed it separately in cold on a short delicate cycle, lowest spin speed then hung it to dry. It washed well. The fabric is soft with a bit of stretch. Not sure how it would hold up to being washed often but it's about perfect for what I wanted. I might order another in black.
