The machine works after getting used to it. I had trouble sewing at first, but I was able to make a hat in the end. A YouTube reviewer shows how to work much faster with a screwdriver. I bought an adapter to use with a screwdriver but I don't see how that would be possible as you have to be careful what you do in case one of the stitches comes loose, which usually happens. My machine's needles had tiny plastic burrs that kept splitting the yarn, causing the stitch to fall in the same places over and over. Once I figured that out, I carefully and carefully used a glass nail file to get rid of the burrs. But you still have to watch while I knit. Again, knitting a hat with a machine is faster than without. Neither of these imperfections were a big problem for me, but it confuses me that I can only knit one way. Just in case, I asked a question on Revain if it was possible to knit different stitches, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Since the thickest yarn you can use is number 4, the hats are too thin and not warm enough for very cold temperatures. Another thing that worries me is the inability to choose the panel size. Again I asked a question if this is possible but it doesn't seem to be the case. In general you can only use very thin jerseys and always the same size. I'm still debating whether to keep this product or return it.
