High quality, hard to find the labels

I love these DPNs. They are smooth and easy to use. I just wish the labels were a little easier to see. I think that this set comes with way too many sizes, but it's nice to have them. :) I like the DPNs better than the ThinkBamboo circular needles, because I think the circular connector isn't ideally design. (i.e. snags)

Pros
  • The needles are strong and durable enough to hold up to repeated use
Cons
  • The needles may not be as comfortable to hold for long periods of time

This is a great deal on knitting needles

This is a great deal on knitting needles. Almost all of the needles themselves were smooth and free of any splinters or scratches that might snag yarn. I did find two with minor issues, but a piece of fine grit sandpaper fixed them right up. I didn't try to use them before sanding, so it might not have caused any issues to begin with. The smallest needles make me a bit nervous. I haven't actually used them yet, due to fear of snapping one in half. I knit with pretty tight tension on dpns and I'm

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The needles may slide out of the stitches more easily than other materials

Perfect for sock and glove knitters!

These are perfect. I love bamboo knitting needles. These are what I use for knitting socks and gloves. They are smooth, good tips and the surprise of a little pair of scissors and a yarn cutter and some stitch markers was a nice treat!Im extremely happy and will buy again! Can't have to many sock needles!

Pros
  • The 3.25mm (US3) size is great for larger projects that need a bit more bulk
Cons
  • The needles may become damaged or warped if left in hot or humid environments

Excellent price for so many needles.

Each set has 5 needles. some sets you can purchase only have 4. Having the extra one helps with certain products. I have made a pair of mittens with the size 5. they worked perfectly. No splinters. The tips will wear down after a while like all bamboo needles but for the price they are still better than aluminum.

Pros
  • Loved the size of these needles. Great product for the price. Will order again.
Cons
  • Carbonized bamboo may not be as environmentally-friendly as other bamboo types

Ready for anything.

I have been hoping to learn how to work with double point needles and now will not have to worry if I have the right equipment when I find the right pattern. Good set for the price.

Pros
  • I love it :)
Cons
  • The set may not include enough needles per size for larger projects

Nice size needles for my opinion

These are really good size needles. Sturdy too. First I thought they might break easily because they are bamboo, but they are actually really sturdy. I highly recommend these for knitting socks, and they have 5 different sizes for different sock patterns. Their price is right too.

Pros
  • Better than expected quality and they also included stitch markers and a little scissor knife.
Cons
  • The needles can be slippery and hard to grip

Woderful set! on my review.

I love it have been using since I got it. I was looking for the right size for socks and other little knits and this just hit the spot. I love it.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Carbonized bamboo may not be as smooth as metal or plastic needles

So glad to have these needles

The stitches do not slip off these needles and since I am tackling a lace doily pattern, they have come in very handy. I am so glad they are long too - that was primarily why I went on a needle hunt on the web and these were the only long double point needles I could find! If I found some metal ones, I would buy them too.I have not used the very small ones for much, but the bamboo seems pretty strong. Also, there was more than one set per size, a mistake on their part, and that's alright - I…

Pros
  • The needles are smooth enough to use with delicate yarns like silk or mohair
Cons
  • The needles may be stiff and difficult to work with for some people

Missing a set for my opinion

I received (2) sets of 3.5mm and am missing a set of 3.25mm. :( I did try the 2.25mm on an in-process project and they were comfortable with no rough spots to cause a snag.

Pros
  • beginner knitter for finishing a stocking cap
Cons
  • splinters

These needles work well!

I am knitting a pair of socks with the No. 1 needles. These needles smell good, hold the yarn well and seem very sturdy. They are also smooth and ready to use. I am a beginner knitter, but I like them very much.

Pros
  • The set includes a size for every type of knitting project, from small accessories to large garments
Cons
  • Carbonized bamboo needles may not be suitable for people who knit tightly or loosely

Working wonderfully

Very happy with my purchase. Affordable and exactly what I needed to get going on some socks. No fancy packaging needed. The surfaces are smooth and needles are sturdy.

Pros
  • The set includes multiple of each size, so you can easily knit multiple projects at once
Cons
  • The needles may not be suitable for all knitting tensions or styles

"You get what you pay for "

For a new knitter, this was a good value. I received 15 sets of needles that otherwise would have cost approximately $60, if I had bought them individually and in metal. However, the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. The first set I used had a fracture that kept catching the yarn, as well as a bump of finish that my finger caught on. 'All points are not created equal', some of the tips are more blunt than others and I found that to be frustrating. Additionally, I've found I prefer metal…

Pros
  • Knitting Needles
Cons
  • The needles may arrive warped or uneven due to the manufacturing process

Who knew? Bamboo? in my review

I love these needles. They feel great in your hands, and hey provide the right amount of flexibility. They are smooth though so it takes some getting used to expecially for the smaller sizes.

Pros
  • nice wood, works very well
Cons
  • The needles may be prone to breaking or splintering

Great Selection of Sizes but Some Splinters & Irregularities

If you're used to the bamboo needles one finds in a knit shop, you will be disappointed. These are a very soft bamboo, and in any given set of 5, there will maybe one blunt tip and 1-2 slightly splintered tips. Actually, if you zoom in on the photo, you can see some of the tip shape variation!I used an emery board to smooth the splintered tips, and refine the shape of some of the blunt needles. I keep the emery board nearby as little splinters catch on yarn and become more splintered. Why do I…

Pros
  • Bamboo is a sustainable and eco-friendly material
Cons
  • The set may not include extra accessories such as stitch markers or cable needles

ordered variety pack and the smallest one broke

Not sure if it was the brand or the small size of the needle but not happy that one broke. The needle broke in half in the middle.

Pros

Cons
  • Carbonized bamboo may not be suitable for people with allergies or sensitivities

Great for price for my opinion

The laser etching is inconsistent-the size markings are very faint on some needles, and fine on others, but this isn't a big deal as long as you keep the needles properly separated. There are some imperfections in the needles as well. A few of them have some notches down their length, but almost all of the needles are fine in this regard. The tips are all fine as well. I have knitted several projects using these needles and have had no problems at all with them. Overall, I am very happy. These…

Pros
  • 5.9 x 3.4 x 0.5 inches
Cons
  • Carbonized bamboo may contain chemicals that could irritate sensitive skin

You get what you pay for.

A few of the needles have splinters, makes it very inconvenient to knit with. I'll use these needles as spares when I break a needle from a better set. Live and learn.

Pros
  • This is the first time I've used bamboo and I'm liking them.
Cons
  • Points are dull. Hard to read size on the needle
