Pleasantly surprised!

I mounted it on my motorcycle. I needed a small area, but I needed more power. Considering the price and size, I was surprised by the amplification of the sound. I only had bluetooth stereo and 2-5 1/2" speakers. The speakers are rated at 300 watts but the stereo is only around 40 watts and while driving around town I could hear it but the quality wasn't good enough. And on the freeway or interstate, there was no point even turning it on, I relied on Bluetooth headphones and my cell phone. Anyway, I set up a stereo, speakers, and a small Hydra amp on my desk for the sake of it test it and see how it got really hot. It was a world of difference in terms of sound and power, the specs say 100 watts for each speaker. With the volume boost and a fairly high gain, it got very hot. The volume control is ok, but after turning it halfway the volume boost no longer occurs. The instructions say that when the volume knob is pushed all the way down to avoid discharging d he battery to avoid. But since I didn't want to go any further for the tunes, I just connected the blue wire from the amp to the blue wire from my stereo, and when I turn off the stereo, the amp also turns off. I checked and verified this with my multimeter. Discreet waterproof caps close almost all connections. With all this the amp won't explode like the others but again it's cheaper and smaller perfect for my needs. And for about $6 I got a 3 year warranty upgrade to upgrade to 1 year from Pyle and after the recall I will get an additional warranty on Pyle. So win, win, win, IMHO! I recommend this for motorbikes or quads etc. I won't break the bank and it does the job perfectly now I can jam anywhere!
