This exhaust manifold comes with a gasket due to stickiness. The flange faces on which the gasket rests on the exhaust ports are riddled with fine grooves that could otherwise cause exhaust gas leaks. It is made in China. A genuine Chevrolet exhaust manifold does not require a gasket and should be perfectly finished. This will ensure the manifold will fit and provide a proper seal along with the gasket when torqued to specification. I would use copper based gasket and just lightly apply a thin film to both surfaces. Good quality gasket, however mine came in a plastic strip inside the junction box and was damaged by the sharp edge of the flange. They replaced it quickly, for which many thanks to them. The heat shield brackets, studs and downpipe gasket and O2 sensor receiver all fitted together nicely. If it weren't for the poor flange finish, damaged gasket and lack of a Made in China designation, I would rate it higher. Otherwise a good quality product with good welds and solid manufacturer materials.
