I have had this item for over 6 months. And I just threw it in the trash after I gave up. He doesn't live for the hype he has. Let's start with some very simple problems. The Mac Pro has the stereo jack on the right side, so if you use the adapter on the right, it will block the jack. If you use on the left, it means the SD card slots are swapped. Another problem is that it doesn't recognize certain USB devices and once plugged in, it never works again. Luckily, I had a few simple USB->USBC adapters that I believe relied on a lot more than two USB ports on the device. aggravating. Every time I had to plug in a USB adapter, it would disconnect and turn itself off (I use one of the inputs for power and the other two for my displays).
