Review on πŸ”Ž Ferguson Industries 0130F00010 Sensing Device by David Alvarado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Went like clockwork. Good price!

I had to change this part 3 times on our oven. The first time I think I paid the stove builder $150 to fix it including the parts, the second time I bought the part at the store for $60 and it was even cheaper this time. It's such a simple solution. For me, the symptom of a problem was our stove turning on, the igniter igniting the flame, and then within about 5 seconds the flame went out. It's essentially a safety feature, with this sensor checking that the flame is actually burning. This prevents the gas from entering the house without a flame to burn it out. It is designed in such a way that if the sensor fails, it assumes that the flame is not burning, which leads to the problem described. The short-term solution is to take out the old part and use sandpaper to remove the corrosion. This often fixed the problem for months. After all, this part is so cheap on Revain that it's just worth buying, but at least the sandpaper will see you through until it ships/delivers. Hope that helps!
