Wanted to love it but failed

I was looking for a cheap mechanical keyboard and really wanted to love the k8 as many of my friends recommended the Keychron as one of the best first mechanical keyboards for price and quality. Of course my friends bought the K2 version, I wanted special hands and decided on the K8. First, if it's just based on input. Of the other keyboards I tried, I typed the least on the K8. I really enjoyed typing here and liked that there is an option to align the keyboard. My fingers felt pretty natural when typing and I haven't had to look at a keyboard yet. Plain white backlighting is good, nothing fancy like RGB (which is nice to look at but my eyes get glued to the screen and can't enjoy it anyway). My main purpose for the K8 was to bring it to work one day and use it as my dedicated work keyboard. Now for the bad. how much I like how my hands rest naturally on the keyboard. Out of the box, there's constant pinging and/or beeping on certain keys, wobbling or rattling on larger keys like the spacebar. Also a bit shaky connection when using bluetooth. Unfortunately for the price I was hoping for a better experience with this keyboard. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to do a lot of keyboard work to fix many of these quality control issues. Another thing to note, although the keycaps feel nice to the touch thanks to the matte finish, you can clearly see finger grease on them. Which again is a pity. Overall I'm sure what I got might be unnecessary, I wouldn't give it up entirely. Might still be a worthy competitor for an '87 keyboard. It would only take more time, effort and money to get the keyboard to where I need it. Maybe next time Keychron.
