I had wanted a set of straight-sided cake pans for a long time. I did A LOT of research, read soooo many reviews and articles. This pan rated at or near the top of every one. The best material for baking, anodized aluminum, check. Rolled edge, for sturdiness and easy handling, check. Perfectly straight sides, for a proper layer cake, check. Yes, they take up a lot of room in the cabinet bc they don't nest together, but such is the sacrifice one must make to get that fabulous magazine cover look. Those pics are from my first time using them. See how nicely the cake pulled away from the sides? All I did was grease the pans with butter, and used parchment circles for the bottom. Yes, they should be hand washed. I've never put a cake pan in the dishwasher in my life (50+ yrs), so this was a non-issue for me. They were easy to clean. I made that berry cream cake for my mom on mother's day, and it made me a total rock star! In mom's eyes, anyway XD. I'm so delighted with my Fat Daddio's! Father's day is coming, heeheehee
