I bought this to keep track of my voltage in my car. I have 2 amps that draw up to 400 amps max for my 4 12 and mid and high amps draw up to 100 amps. Needless to say, it's a good idea to have an idea of what voltage you're working with. Installation was very easy for me. This item is almost the exact size of a round cigarette lighter hole. For me I just had to trim the hole a bit because my cigarette hole had retaining tabs that came out easily with a razor. Uses the same wires from this to this voltage sensor. The charging ports on mine work fine and work perfectly. It doesn't load quickly, but that's just sophistry. Now for my device the voltage is off by 0.4 volts. It could be that the device or wires I used have some kind of load that lowers the voltage. I'm going to pull it out again and test it with a multimeter and if it reads the same I'll up my star rating to a 5. But for now it's a 4. I would recommend it, yes I would definitely recommend it. I almost forgot about the display, it's quite bright. If you drive at night you'll know it's on because it's quite bright. It worries me, no, but I've thought about upgrading it a bit to dim the lights.
