This dog door is a little more difficult to install than a regular dog door, but it's definitely worth it. The hardware that came with it (screws etc.) was terrible as were the instructions. But if you've installed a dog door or done manual work in the past, you don't really need it. I used my own self tapping screws and the door worked great. I like that it connects to the house instead of connecting to itself and just pressing the wall. I also appreciate that it has a metal frame instead of plastic as I have a very large dog that has broken plastic dog doors in the past. It also fits perfectly between the joists in the wall. Double magnetic flaps do an excellent job of keeping out the hot desert air, even on windy days. Most importantly, it's easy to use for my aging Great Danes and middle-aged Dachshunds. It's big enough that the big one doesn't have to bend down and the little one doesn't have to jump.
