Let's get down to business. It's metallic. In what is now my 10th crib purchase, I have never seen such a strange color on a classic style crib. Seriously metallic - think nail polish. I don't like it but he'll be in a van (no base) so I'll be staying with him. I would replace it with another one of them but it doesn't fit my window before the trip. The rest is "good". Easy installation in 5 minutes. Seems solid and strong. Although the finish is rough. There was something in the air when drawing, and imperfections were everywhere. Also call. Cannot fault the packaging which was well done and the thick foam held the item securely. If this was my first child and a kindergarten feature I would give this a 2/3. Hope that helps.
