I should have read carefully; they are half an inch. I was expecting something a little smaller than the palm of my hand. Of course that's my fault. The seller can place a photo next to it with a link to show the buyer the approximate size. Anyway, when I wrote this review I looked at other reviews. (Wow, I didn't really check ahead of time, which doesn't sound like me. Again, my fault.) I'm now convinced that there's a good chance the "stones" are actually painted glass. I'm not saying it's because I don't have confirmation of this, but other reviewers make compelling arguments by describing some color coming off with washing or cracking with color in between. I keep mine because I use it to leave on a loved one's grave for love healing, even though it might be glass. But if you're looking for authenticity, just make sure you do your research better than me. I hope I'm wrong; You may get a real item.
