Review on πŸƒ ALTRA Superior 4 Men's Trail Running Shoe by David Pullen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Felt like old cheap water shoes.

I've been using trail running shoes as hiking shoes for a couple of pairs now, and I also run trails in them from time to time. I like to trade stability for agility and weight. So far I've enjoyed this exchange. They are extremely minimal and I thought that was a good thing before trying them. . . They looked like cheap 90's water boots to me. They just slipped around my feet. With every climb, I slipped sideways with every step. In mountainous and rocky terrain it was safer and better without them. The only time they felt "right" was with the added support and protection of crossing a river. I'm sure these shoes are great for those in the know, but I sent them back unimpressed.
