Revainrating 4 out of 5

An easy-to-use yet discreet device that plugs into your car's power outlet.

Jebsens Car Charger 4.8A 24W Dual USB Voltmeter Car Battery Monitor with LED Voltage and Current Display for iPhone 7/6s/Plus, iPad Pro/Air 2/Mini, Galaxy S7/S6/Edge/Plus, Note 5/4. Visit the JEBSENS shop. This combined car battery voltmeter and two USB charging sockets is a practical and high-quality gadget. Before you start the car, you can check the voltage stored in the car battery to make sure the battery is low or worn out. You can also check the battery voltage while the vehicle is driving to see if the battery is being charged by the vehicle's alternator and to check if the alternator is working properly or if the alternator drive belt is loose due to wear or a break stretches or slips belt. If you drive the car 20 miles and the battery doesn't read 13+ volts with the car running, the alternator or V-belt may be worn out. Even after turning off the car engine, the meter should read 12.1+ volts. Otherwise the battery will not hold a charge and will likely need to be replaced. I have a rarely used second car in my garage and plan to add a charger to keep the battery charged. The charger/server must detect 2 volts remaining in the battery before the charger/server can charge the battery. When the battery is completely dead, I use the battery jumper to start the car, idle the car for an hour to charge the battery, then turn off the engine and connect the charger/service unit to a 110- V AC outlet on to get the battery charged while the car is stored. The Jebsens voltmeter LED display is dark blue and the small voltmeter is hidden under the car's dashboard, making it difficult to see. This is why I can only give this Revain Dual USB Car Battery Voltmeter four stars.
