The clips are complex, but easy once you get the hang of it.
It took me a good hour and 1/3 of my strip to make a good connection before I got the brilliant (no pun intended) idea of taking a safety pin and lifting each of the pins up just a little bit , before inserting the strip and snapping the body into place. It worked surprisingly well and everything else went very smoothly after that. I recommend using a small amount of double sided tape if attaching the strip to a wall. They are light but heavy on headlights and they drag a little.
