I purchased this cable to use as a connection cable with my Oculus Quest 2. It definitely works for this application. The cable even has a pair of reusable Velcro straps that can be easily used as a quick and messy method of securing the cable to the side of the headset for relief. However, there are some oddities with this cable that lead me to believe there are probably better options out there. The cable is very stiff and maintains its spiral shape, which prevents it from pressing flat against you while playing. It's also quite noisy. Again, this may be down to its stiffness, but you can actually hear the shield and copper in the cable shift as you move. This becomes particularly clear since the device is constantly on the ear. However, these first two problems may go away with use, but the nature of the cable itself does not. For some reason completely incomprehensible to me, the manufacturer decided to put a rubberized tough coating on the cord along the entire length of the wire. This is terribly annoying as it creates extra resistance every time you try to turn your head. For me that is actually a barrier to using it for VR. Should this cable turn out to be significantly cheaper than other patch cords from other manufacturers (which is not the case at the time of writing) it might be worth buying as a replacement as it will work again. But the devil is in the details, and for this product, those details kill its chances as a daily driver for me.
