Cable not working properly

I don't know what's wrong with my cable but my Oculus keeps disconnecting and going back to the home screen when using it with SteamVr. I used to have another cable that worked until it broke and I used this one as a spare. It's great when it works, but I've crashed out of the game a few times, to the point where I just shut down my Oculus. I need help and don't understand why this is going on.

Alternative tether tool

So tied to a Canon r5, that worked great! The cable feels great and with a 90° end you don't have to worry about damaged connectors. It's a great alternative to the cable tool market.

Cheaper alternative to the official cable; from the Oculus!

I never run out of space (when using a headset). I'm still waiting for my Quest 2 to arrive so I hooked it up to a Samsung Gear vr just to see how it moves. Charges well and should last a long time.

However, it will get the job done on Oculus.

I purchased this cable to use as a connection cable with my Oculus Quest 2. It definitely works for this application. The cable even has a pair of reusable Velcro straps that can be easily used as a quick and messy method of securing the cable to the side of the headset for relief. However, there are some oddities with this cable that lead me to believe there are probably better options out there.
