Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Sony Cybershot DSCT300/B 10.1MP Digital Camera: Stunning Black Design with 5x Optical Zoom & Super Steady Shot by Donna Tran

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too bad there was no star for disappointment

I had a Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 which is now on the slopes of a mountain in Wyoming. I had to buy these as a replacement and figured I would get a similar but advanced camera with the same recording/imaging capabilities. No, that is not so. This is a painful sequel to DSC-T1. This camera had the "breathtaking" clarity of high-resolution images. I've used it in macro and panorama photography and got consistently stable images. This camera should be avoided. Images are blurry for macro, portrait, group or distance. This is easily the worst camera compared to other offerings. At first I thought it was me, so I went through the user manual, my settings, my articles, my software. Everything returned to this camera. For $600 I want near perfection. It's more like a fixed focus camera. As usual with Sony, it has a lot of bells and whistles that don't affect the image quality in any way. This is a waste of money if you are looking for high resolution photos. I've had it for a year and five months and I'm very, very sorry I didn't return it. I sound crazy, I'm not. I just don't want other consumers to get this bad camera. DO NOT BUY to take good photos, you will not get them. look elsewhere Oh, and the "Steady Shot" features have a mind of their own and are now starting to fail.
