For over the counter medication this works well. I wasn't dissatisfied with the product, but after consulting my dentist and periodontist I decided to use a different product. Both said they used to have that, but now there are many other products that are better or simpler. However, most of them require a prescription, so if you don't have a dentist this won't work. The prescribed toothpaste and fluoride were three times the price and only a few dollars more, so I was happy with the product and the recipe worked much better (although it helped me in a pinch). Eventually they told me that metal-based tin fluoride can stain your teeth a dark yellow, but I haven't used the product often enough to cause this problem. Gel Cam helped me reduce my sensitivity - reduced it by 50% after 3 nights and then I used it about 2 times a week for 2 weeks until I was able to go to the dentist. At that point, it had reduced my sensitivity by 75%, which I think is not bad for an over-the-counter product.
