UPDATE FOR REVIEW: I received this coffee maker on October 7th. Yesterday (December 1st) the program function did not execute the loop as planned. I disconnected the device to reset the clock/program. It still does not work. When I turn it on manually, it doesn't grind or brew. Less than two months of maintenance for a $120+ coffee maker is unfair! The thing is junk! Of course the Revain return period has expired so I have to pay to send it back to the manufacturer and end up without a coffee maker who knows how long the warranty will last. Save your money guys, the clean and simple is GARBAGE! It was fine while it lasted, but two months (two weeks of which I was out of town and not using the coffee maker!) is a ridiculously short lifespan. ************Original Review** ***************************** I love my to program the coffee machine to start the morning and I also enjoy the scent and aroma of freshly ground coffee. I've been using grind and brew coffee makers for many years, so when my old one stopped working, it was time to replace it. This is my first experience with Krups and so far I am very satisfied. The Krups KM785D50 is easy to program, makes good coffee and is a good value grind/brew coffee maker. The grinding process is a bit noisy, but it is quieter than my previous machine. Mind it, grinding hard coffee beans makes noise, and since it kicks in just before my alarm, that's not a problem for me. It can also be programmed to use ground coffee. It's pretty quick and tastes good. There are settings for the number of cups, from 2 to 10, and the strength of the drink, from light to strong, which are relatively easy to understand and program.
