Bought just 8 weeks ago and last night when I tried to turn it on all the strands suddenly stopped working except for the first two lights. No storms or other weather events to explain, it was just hot (95°F). We removed the strand and checked for damage such as squirrel bites, cracking, etc. No damage found. We then tried removing one of the working lights and screwing it into one of the non-working connectors and voila. That does not work. We repeated this with other ports and again the work light in them didn't work, indicating a problem with the entire thread. At the same time, we connected another thread to the same outdoor surge protector, but it had no effect. If it's due to a power surge I would expect both strings to be affected and all lights to be off, not all but the first two lights. So the filament basically fails two months after installation. Very disappointing.
