Review on 🐠 Aquapapa Corner Filter: Efficient Air-Driven Bio Sponge Ceramic for Nano Fish Tank Aquarium (Ship from CA USA) by Kenny Marquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very reliable small filter

I purchased this product to use with a tried and tested small air pump which is also available here at Revain. It was packaged well and all the media pictured on it were included in the main body of the filter. An air pump is not included, so you will need to purchase one separately here as well. When it came time to connect it to my pump, it was very easy to connect to the air hose and took up very little space in the already small tank (3.6g). The telescopic arm works well and easily redirects around my tank. The only gripe I have is that the arm needs to be a bit longer, but it still works very well with the short length it is. My Fluval substrate made my water quite cloudy even after rinsing, but this filter did a fantastic job of cleaning my water fast! In about 20 minutes the water was almost completely clear. I've seen several complaints in reviews about shrimp going through the filter and I understand how this can happen. However, I think this can be solved by adding some pillow stuffing at the very top under the grille. The suction power isn't very strong, but it's enough for me to see small critters being sucked into the filter media if precautions aren't taken. As for ease of cleaning, I'm honestly not sure yet. The inside of the filter was easy to pull out, so I assume it will be very easy to clean and service the filter. Since I didn't get a chance to experience it, I gave it a 4/5 star rating. I'll try to remember to update when I get to that particular fork in the road.
