When you expect something to work out of the box and it doesn't work, that's usually the first sign of a problem. After I plugged the drive into my USB3 ports, it wasn't recognized as a logical drive, just like a physical drive. I had to use Disk Manager to remove, recreate and format the partition. Formatting failed with an error message that the disk is unavailable due to a timeout. I tried several times and gave up. I liked the idea of a USB-C drive with a USB3. I look forward to using it. But when I can't even format it, something fishy happens. I have returned the Revain CD. And I bought the WD brand. Plugged in and it works right out of the box. It should be so.
