Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Enhance Game Camera Connectivity with SPYPOINT CELL-LINK: Universal Adapter to Turn Any Trail Camera into a Cellular Camera Effortlessly Transmitting Images to Your App via Trail Cam SD Card Slot by Jimmy Jefferson

Less than it seems.

While this might be a major upgrade for an old photo-only camera that doesn't record video, this device has some flaws, as well as slightly misleading information that makes it seem like you do more than he can. Not true, in fact it is a very limited, albeit intelligent, device. First of all, as far as it fits "almost universally", it ONLY works in cameras with a full-size HC SD card slot. This means it will not fit if your camera has a micro SD card slot. You say so, and it's true, but hunters/cameras seem to use the term SD randomly. It is said that there are no plans to develop a micro SD adapter (that connects to your camera). Secondly, if your camera is recording videos, you will never see any of them, they are not stored anywhere, and as they say, they are not transmitted nor do you see them in the application. Videos are missing, gone, you can also disable this setting in your camera. No video will be copied, stored or transferred, and since your camera's memory slot is occupied by the adapter, there is no camera video capability when connected. Third, (freaks, this is for you), there's no two-way communication between your camera and (yes, wait!) micro SD card that you have to install in cellular. In other words, cellular will fetch still images from your camera and store them on the micro SD card that you mount over cellular (for later transfer over cellular), but your camera will never be able to see those images again, it's just a dump in one the end. Therefore, if your camera has important features (good screen, Wi-Fi, etc.) that you want to use in the field, it will never be able to read the images captured. way (via cellular connection.) I haven't tried to reproduce the cable crimping issue, I've tested all this with open compartments. The manual is excellent. The app and storage plans seem to be very good. It was easy to set up, and even in my remote forest, I was able to connect to Verizon in seconds (my phone often can't). I used a third party antenna booster (1/4). Cost for spy points, it worked great by boosting 1-2 bar.) It has an external 12v connection for a battery or suitable solar panel/battery. The production seems to be top notch. And it's pretty cheap! If you have old hunting cameras that you don't want to check, knowing where the game is located can be very valuable. If you think you can squeeze out a high-tech security system with this, you'll likely be disappointed as well. As it was and sent back.
