After reading all the reviews I was afraid I would look for the problems mentioned. Thing is, I love this pitcher. I've noticed that I've been throwing away milk lately. I've read that you shouldn't keep milk by the fridge door because when you open it the temperature drops quickly, especially on the door. Has the meaning. So I did, still dumping milk. So I did two things: I bought this wonderful glass pitcher that is so easy to pour from (arthritis) and I turned the fridge temperature down a notch. I wish I had thought about that many years ago. Milk lasts a lot longer, and as for throwing away the packaging and not knowing the expiration date, I've still never looked, I've always sniffed first. The glass is thick and holds the cold much better than a flimsy plastic box. love love love
