Doesn't really work for Pi 3 plus

I bought a geekworm case and HD board for my Raspberry Pi 3 plus with the intention of running the Pi with an SSD instead of an SD card. Of the two products I found, this seemed to be the best since I already had the HD. After receiving the details, I assembled the system and downloaded NOOBS to choose from multiple operating systems. This review is just in case as the board can be used separately. The case is made of high quality metal with many ventilation holes on the sides and bottom. A previous complaint about the USB port from the HD to PI expansion card has been resolved and the case now has a full hole for the port. So the HD worked without any problems. Cons for the case - three things. 1) There is a hole for the GPIO cable on the case, but the width of the hole is narrower than required, so it is difficult to insert the cable, and you have to bend the cable all the time. 2) There is a slot to access the SD card, but on the 3 plus you have to pull the card out so you have to use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers to remove the card. 3) The on/off switch is too small and interferes with the GPIO cable. Overall a good concept, but it really needs a bit more thought.

Pros
  • Case Size (Install): 11.3cm x 9.1cm x 6.2cm / 4.45in x 3.58in x 2.44in; Note: max compatible thickness of 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD is 10.4mm/0.41" (standard 2.5" SATA SSD/HDD is 9.2mm/0, 36 inches).
Cons
  • Reliability
