Review on Xero Shoes TerraFlex Running Hiking Men's Shoes in Athletic by Dan Dickey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too narrow, not wide enough, cheaply made.

I love sandals. These shoes are not very good! They appear to be cheaply made. Sole flex is firmer/stiffer than desired. Not sure if the outsole will hold up in the Scottsdale, Arizona wilderness? It was a bit grippy but walking on sharp rocks affected the sole. The materials around the edges of the upper appear to be stained and are more likely to peel off first. Pooh. The toe is too narrow. I am a woman with a wide foot, narrow heel, high arch and I buy men's sizes for the wider width. I found this shoe to still be too tight and cramped my toes and midfoot, unfortunately I found that out after a 3 mile hike in the desert. I have another Zero men's shoe in the same size that fits great. I'll definitely try to leave a front lacing hole for less tension in the proximal ankles and hopefully not slipping back and forth in them. The price is too high for this simply made deconstructed shoe. I would come back if I hadn't already worn it on a hike. If you have wide and high foot, please choose one size up or find other style.
