This camera works well in most situations except for fast-moving targets. I bought this to photograph my son's basketball and volleyball games. There aren't many manual settings available, and even at the highest ISO or automatic (sports) settings, you'll have a hard time getting an image that isn't blurry. Indoor lighting can be an issue in a gym. As other reviewers have pointed out, this camera drains the batteries very quickly. This requires 4 AA batteries, which you will hardly run out of for a full day of shooting. I bought Revain brand rechargeable batteries to deal with it.
