Keep this on my computer desk. i really like it Gives perfect light. Lights up when opening, goes out when closing. How much easier can it be? I'll probably get another one for my bedside table. I'm buying another one tomorrow to give to an elderly friend so she can keep it on her bedside table in case of a power outage, which we have on the sticks quite often here. Because you only have to open it to switch it on, the annoying search for the emergency light switch that I used to give it is no longer necessary. Now I keep mine on my bedside table for the same reason.
