It took two to make one that worked

UPDATE 24 OCTOBER 2020 I used this to read in bed for about 20-30 minutes at night to supplement the night light which isn't bright enough. It was working fine until last night. It just went off after 10-15 minutes and never came back on. I thought the battery just died even though I charged it less than a week ago. Charged this morning. A small red light came on and when I came back later it went out, indicating the battery was fully charged. BUT no light. Nothing. Tried reloading, no change. Luckily I was within a day of my return date, which I did. They are just too cheaply made and unreliable.------------------------------ ----------- ---- ---------------------------------------------- -As soon as I got the first one, I realized something was wrong. When I opened the box, the light was on! After much fiddling, it turned out that the problem was a faulty switch. About half the time, the light was turned on or off by simply touching the clip or gooseneck. I contacted the seller and he quickly replied that he sent a new one and just threw away the old one. Received a new one a few days later and the switch seemed to work. But then I tried to charge it but the included micro USB cable wouldn't connect. After a lot of fiddling it still didn't fit and I was afraid of damaging the socket. I got another micro USB from a drawer full of these and it worked fine. I found the micro USB cable that came with the first lamp and tried it and it worked. Light in itself is good for what it is. Please note that it is designed for solid wood headboards and not brass.
