Smells FANTASTIC! Yum

Smells AMAZING! Delicious! I liked the color but I don't really know what could be bad; It's lavender and it's beautiful. Several people ask if it can be eaten or made into tea; I was under the impression that ALL lavender is safe to eat in its own right - the quality depends on the different varieties, such as culinary variety. I think the real problem behind this question, and people who say no, you just need to keep an eye on 'organic' to make sure it doesn't contain the harmful substances used in the growing process that are claimed to be becomes that they are organic. Thing is, I made some in tea and it was delicious. I've never had it so I can't be the best judge. It was last weekend and I'm still fine. So unless you're allergic to anything related to it, I think you can use it for cooking, baking, etc. As for quantity, I was a bit disappointed with how much a pound of lavender costs, but that's just my own ignorance. For the price it's still very good value for what I use it for - wedding favors. I have sachets that I fill with about 3-4 tablespoons (depending on how you fill/overfill) and there are about 52 sachets in a 1 pound bag. So a 12 pound order will get you just over 100 bags with a decent amount of lavender. Of course, this depends on the exact amount you put in the bags. With some I had a little more, with some a little less, I didn't count every kidney. In the picture, I use my tablespoon to show roughly how much was in each scoop. I'm still happy with the price per person for this one. If you were giving it to a wedding I think you could get by with just 2 tablespoons per person which would make about 75 bags.
