Terrible brown - not as pictured

Bought these to compare with another item on Revain for bridal centerpieces. These lavender buds had no color and were dull. You smell good, yes. But nothing I want to add to my centerpieces. I have attached a photo comparing one product to another.

Cons
  • Almost never

I will never have to buy lavender again.

Fresh and aromatic and many times cheaper than buying it as a special spice. You probably put it in something that locks after you open it, but I have no complaints. Essential for herbs de Provence, good in desserts, syrups, teas, roast meats, has a pleasant aroma and a slightly soothing effect. A very versatile but underrated herb, great quality and great value.

Wow! So many buds! Fragrant!

We used these for the "lavender wires" at my daughter's wedding because we weren't allowed to make the other typical wires (confetti, sparklers, etc.). It smelled SO great! When we came back the next day to clear the hallway, we could still smell the lavender in the air as we walked down the hallway where we had dropped the lavender (although I couldn't see it - it was probably all in hidden in the rock ). that along the way). Highly recommended, at least for this purpose!

These dried lavender buds come highly recommended!

I decided to buy these after reading some reviews. I didn't care about the color since the buds were collected in little pillows and sachets. What really mattered to me was whether the scent was strong enough to penetrate through multiple layers of percale or muslin. WOW, it definitely can. I put the sealed plastic bag in the closet to fill the bags later in the day yesterday. When I opened the pantry an hour later, the scent of lavender was wonderful! That was exactly the scent that ended up…

Lots of damn lavender!

My daughter started putting lavender in her coffee. I think she said it was boogie or bugs or something. Someone gave her a small bathtub that she used up in a few months, so she went to her pal Revane to find more. Apparently she's not so good with weights and measures because she ordered a pound (pound!) of lavender. Note: I think that might be why she didn't get that USC slot on the crew team. The price was great and she had just been paid for, so just over $11 seemed like a steal to fill…

good stuff in Home Decor Products

UPDATE 12/14/2020 I bought a 4th bag. More than once I was disappointed and even more delighted! The price is lower and the quality is higher. the last pound i bought the other day was so fresh the bag was so thick. LOLUPDATE 01/07/2020Ordered another pound and I'm even happier! Obviously this batch is the last harvest. Bolder colors, same amazing scent. A GOOD lavender retains its strong scent even with age. I have some left over from the pounds I bought a few months ago that still smell…

Smells FANTASTIC! Yum

Smells AMAZING! Delicious! I liked the color but I don't really know what could be bad; It's lavender and it's beautiful. Several people ask if it can be eaten or made into tea; I was under the impression that ALL lavender is safe to eat in its own right - the quality depends on the different varieties, such as culinary variety. I think the real problem behind this question, and people who say no, you just need to keep an eye on 'organic' to make sure it doesn't contain the harmful substances…

I have 40 French lavender plants that are about 7 years old. I don't think it's worth growing any strain other than French if flavor is your goal and you can grow that strain in your climate zone. Hardy varieties like Munstead are fine, but nothing beats French lavender for aroma. I've harvested lavender buds from half the plants (leaving the rest for the bees) in the last 5 years and have usually gotten about 5 gallons of buds. Harvesting is a long and laborious process. Cut the heads off the…
