I bought these hoping for a more environmentally friendly way of lining flat pans rather than using foil. They work not to burn and we haven't had any melting problems even in a high temperature furnace (up to 450°). But after using them for about a month we started having problems with the mats retaining the taste and smell of what was last done on them or even the taste of soap. I've had to throw out a few batches of pastries and a few chicken nuggets on separate occasions after half of them came out dish soap flavored. We've also had issues where, even after thorough cleaning and rinsing, the mat started to "sweat" with oil after drying. This happened even after I put them in the dishwasher out of desperation (recommend hand washing). These mats are the only one we've had this issue with - we have a silicone baking pan that we clean the same way and we've never had any sweating or a taste/odor with them. I ended up throwing them away and will be using the aluminum foil again to line the pans.
