High quality wool gloves
Gloves made of genuine spiky wool. They run a bit large and will shrink a bit if gently washed and air dried. They have long wrist pads that can be worn under a coat or shirt so you don't have an exposed part of your wrist. Wool gloves retain most of their heat retaining properties even when wet. I don't wear them for long but I feel they hold up to moderate use and don't rip like cheap gloves.
