This is a great camera for my style of work. I typically shoot low-light, high-contrast subjects, and in these conditions it excels. Last cameras I had: gh4, 2 a7s2, a7r2, a6500, a6300. in the shadows. Much more shadow detail and almost no pixelation. Panasonic 4k 60fps 8bit footage is far superior to Sony A7s2 4k 30fps 10bit shot externally with Atomos Ninja Flames. In fact, most Panasonic projects don't even require 10-bit recording because color science is at its best and 8-bit footage is very flexible. Autofocus is significantly better than previous Panasonic cameras. No worse than Sony. I shoot a variety of subjects, one of which is MMA fighters, a built-in UFC style that doesn't allow for repetition. This is NOT the best camera for this type of shooting. However, if you have enough talent and skill, it can be done. The camera doesn't seek focus like previous Panasonics, it can lose focus from time to time, but it does eventually find focus smoothly. The GH4 kept changing focus planes, rendering the footage unusable. I found that the GH5 actually focuses better in dark conditions and performs poorly in evenly lit conditions. If you want to take photos I would look elsewhere. Most phones probably work better. Compared to other cameras in this range, this is undoubtedly one of the best cameras on the market. This is 100% a movie making tool, NOT a YOUTUBER camera. With the right preparation and execution, a set of these could almost make a feature film. With the exception of the frame rate, it is comparable to lower-end RED cameras such as the Raven.
