This Spool holders are great for any spool length from inch to 3/4; However, each spool is shorter and the plastic spool holder protrudes from the bottom. This works if you don't store your thread and bobbins upright. It would be great if they sold different spool holders for inch and 3/4 spools of thread and another one for inch and 1/4 spools of thread.
