I bought a coil of this in 2014 when all the bad reviews were just that it's not really 12ga which I thought was ok for the price but before any reviews about it, it corrodes/breaks down. I wired a couple of 12v LED bulbs with this cable in a fairly weatherproof setup, but after about a year the light started to chip. At first I thought it was the switch as sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't but eventually they stopped completely and replacing the switch didn't help so I thought it was the light. So I cut the wire a short distance from the light source to test both the wire and the light source itself. When I inserted the test leads into the ends of the cut feeder cable they only showed 4 volts which seemed crazy so I checked and confirmed that there was 12 volts at the other end of the 20 foot section. I then stripped the wire on the cable that was attached to the light so I could apply power to test it and the metal in the sheathing literally ripped apart (shredded wheat I think!) when I pulled it off have. So I cut every foot or so along the lining, and the wire was badly rusted most of the way. when it failed in this conspicuous way. This might just be the worst and most useless product I've ever bought. For comparison I have attached a photo from the slaughterhouse and a piece fresh from the roll.
