I needed something after my baby outgrew his flying squirrel sleeping bag at just over 12 months. He seems to be doing much better in a sleeping bag so I really didn't want to change anything, but I had to find something new that indicated his age. I did a lot of research and will say that I chose this mainly because of the product photos. . I find her pretty funny. I will say we have used it for over 6 months and it still has a ton of life left and it looks like it will last a year longer which I think is a big plus. While I like a zipper that starts at the bottom, I don't think it's necessary in a sleeping bag for older children as they don't usually need to change their diapers at this time in the middle of the night.
