I bought the exact same caliper in April 2016 and it worked perfectly until last week. Somewhere over 3 inches it suddenly started reading 60+ inches. I decided I got my money's worth and looked for a replacement. Pictures in inches are wrong; It reads up to thousandths with a tiny space or 5, so they should show an extra digit and a half. The inch range is from 0.000 to 5.9915 inches; The mm range is from 0.00 mm to 152.15 mm. It binds a little around 3 inches, but if its predecessor is any indication, it will unravel with a little use. Came with built-in battery and two spares, thoughtful. I think I went through 5 in 4 years with the old one. Highly recommended!
