Great coat, good quality. In the end, however, we only use the inner coating. Nothing wrong with the outer layer other than my preschooler being too impatient to want to wear it. I got this because thick covers are unsafe in car seats and the inner cover is thin enough to be worn safely. I wanted my son to put on a second layer when he got out of the car at school. That's not entirely true, but that's okay, the inner layer is pretty warm on its own (even in Ohio).
