Completely inaccurate, don't waste your money

I am in the process of losing weight, so an accurate and reliable scale is very important right now. Sometimes I may not like what the scale says, but it has to be true. I had a great reliable digital scale that was starting to fail so I had to buy a new one. As usual, I turned to Wirecutter for a recommendation, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. I didn't have any problems connecting to the app or anything, but I will say that the BMI measurement is clearly only calculated based on your weight, height, age and whether you are male or female. The app didn't give me any of the other measurements it claims to offer, but I wasn't particularly interested in that, so it didn't bother me. What REALLY bothered me is that when trying to weigh the scale, I weighed 1 time (barefoot, on a flat surface, not leaning or touching anything) and got a number. I then got off the scale, had it shut down and reset, went through the whole process again and got a number that was 2.6 pounds down. I found it odd but figured maybe I was leaning or something without realizing it. So I got off the scale, had it turn off and reset, and did the whole process a third time, but the third time I got a number that was 0.7 pounds more than the first time. I weighed myself for the fourth time and was 3.9 pounds lighter than the first time. Generally 4 different weights, almost 5 pounds. For those trying to lose weight, this is too inaccurate to track your progress. Very disappointed, I'm going back.
