I only bought this dial gauge (adjustment kit) because it is a Motion Pro product. I used to buy their motorcycle tools and each one was made specifically for a specific job and very high quality! This dial indicator is perfect for 2 strokes and is also small enough to fit in a tight spot on the cylinder head (1 and 1/2 inch scale). Most dials are in the 2+ inch range. And the millimeter accuracy in terms of timing cannot be surpassed. And if you want to use it on air-cooled two-strokes, you'll need to buy an adapter recommended by Motion Pro. This gives the necessary clearance for the dial to sit directly over the cooling fins. quality in everything!
